SITUATION
I worked as an economist at a language school for 4 years, handling payments, invoices, and pricing. I got so good at my job that I could finish it in just a few hours each day. This made the work less interesting, and the company’s setup didn’t offer room for growth. So I knew it was time for a change.
WHAT I WANTED
I wanted to explore new opportunities, not just stick to being an Economist. But I had no idea what other careers might suit me. I also didn’t want to spend money on courses without knowing which career I’d enjoy. That’s when I discovered Jompass, their career simulators, and career support services.
HOW JOMPASS HELPED
Through Jompass, I took a career test that recommended fields involving data and numbers, like Data Scientist and Data Analyst. Since I’ve always loved working with data, this felt like a perfect fit. I bought simulators for both careers and completed them over the weekend. The Data Analyst simulator, in particular, took me only 40 minutes to finish.
RESULT
The simulators gave me a clear understanding of what Data Scientists and Data Analysts do. While both careers appealed to me, Data Analyst seemed more achievable. Watching an interview with Karina, the creator of the Data Analyst simulator, inspired me—she had transitioned from manufacturing to Tech. That made me realize I could do it too, so I decided to start learning Data Analytics.
